About Me
Hello, my name is Ryan Corkill - welcome to my page!
I am a graduate student in data science, with an interest in data-driven decision making (particularly through machine learning).
Prior to entering the field of data science I was a chemist by training. I conducted research in physical and computational chemistry, studying materials design and repeating structures (such as metal-organic frameworks and perovskites)
My research in materials design eventually grew to include machine learning as a tool to expedite the design process. This initial exposure left an impact on me, and led me to realize how interested I am in the field of data science.
I believe data holds countless answers to countless questions, with the responsibility of understanding the data to ask the right questions lying squarely on the data scientist.
